Oxford is an inspiring place that has convened bright minds and sparked curiosity for nearly a thousand years.

Join us in the first programme of its kind in Europe, based at the world’s oldest English-speaking university, and be a part of two of Oxford’s unique communities, the Rhodes Trust and Harris Manchester College.

The six months programme over two terms is an experience in Oxford with peers and our wider community. It draws on deep intellectual resources across the University and enables participants to connect with two unique communities within it – Harris Manchester College, Oxford’s only college devoted to non-traditional age students, and Rhodes House, home of the world’s oldest international graduate scholarship, the Rhodes Scholarship.

Oxford Next Horizons also draws on the unique traditions of Oxford’s educational system, offering direct access to world-class expertise, learning through peer to peer debate and discussion, and deeper exploration through individual endeavour, including the opportunity to participate in Oxford-style tutorials.

We are looking for seekers – people with curiosity, humility, and a willingness to learn from others, who want to build friendships and deep connections with others from many walks of life.

You will join a small group of individuals with rich life experience and build a community of mutual support, inspiration, and collaboration – not only with each other but also with a younger generation of Oxford students.

The full fee for the 2026 programme is £33,000 for Scholars. This does not include the cost of housing, travel or immigration, which are the responsibility of an individual Scholar. Fee levels are reviewed for each annual iteration of the programme.

Next Horizons has a limited number of scholarships to those with demonstrated need who would not otherwise have access to the resources to attend the programme. We are grateful to several supporters who have made this possible.
