"Oxford Next Horizons is an impactful and engaging experience. The program facilitated a personal and intellectual exploration that, for me, included research in homelessness in America, a topic in which I have been interested for a number of years. And because of Oxford’s location in England, I was able to do a first-hand comparative study that could only be done in a foreign country. My studies combined with a wonderful cohort and the friendly, historic city of Oxford for a memorable and life-changing experience."

"I am leaving the program with a sense of boldness and purpose I never imagined."

- Alex Burger

"It was a celebration of curiosity, courage and the boundless potential of the human spirit! I explored the realms of philosophy and history discussions, trading Quarter on Quarter financials for Shakespearean plays."

- Sriramulu (Ram) Nallapati

"I came expecting an extended and stimulating cultural experience in England. It was that, certainly, but even more it was a gripping intellectual adventure as I was pushed to go further by the world’s greatest minds."

- Robert Maloney

"ONHP was a new and different world for me and, I believe, for most of the cohort. The mixture of every day concerns and responsibilities with a small amount of inquiry and learning was stood on its head: here, I was absorbed in new material and focused inquiry with a small amount of the every day. Surrounded by excellence of institution, faculty, and motivated classmates, I felt challenged to do my best in reading, writing and thinking. It was exhilarating and awakened a desire to be part of a “learning community’ on an ongoing basis."

- David Ladensohn

"ONHP delivered as promised and more! I was able to spend the six months in Oxford, exploring my goal of pivoting my career from the tech sector to a role in the social enterprise space. This involved working with my tutors to read and discuss trends in development economics and building my network of academics and practitioners in the field. Additionally, with 2 cohort members, we also formed a small SCRUM team to hold each other accountable on each of our individual future career journeys. But, even more impactful was the reflection and personal growth that I undertook, guided in part through the regular programming where we examined how to live a meaningful life. The beautiful natural environment in and around Oxford, as well as the contemplative spaces of chapels across the University, furthered this examination. The third aspect of ONHP that was truly formative was the community that developed. It’s unusual to build new friendships at this stage in our lives and I’m grateful to say that I’ve gained wonderful new friends and a group that has committed to being an ongoing source of support as I re-integrate back home and continue on life transition. I consider ONHP a gift in myself that will be paying dividends well into the future. Thank you, Jane, Elizabeth and Ashley!"
